Wishes & Blessings Crosses 1 Crore Meal Milestone with Nationwide Distribution Drive

A Major Milestone in Hunger Relief
Wishes & Blessings, a Delhi-based NGO, has crossed a major milestone. The organisation has served over 1 crore meals to underprivileged communities across India.

To mark this achievement, it held nationwide food drives on May 22 and 23, reaching people in seven states.

Meal Drives Across Seven States

The drive began on May 22 at the Botanical Bus Stand in Noida. It continued to Munirka in Delhi, and Sector 89 in Hayatpur, Gurgaon.

On the same day, meal distributions were also held in Chennai (Tamil Nadu) and Burdwan (West Bengal).The next day, on May 23, the drive expanded to Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) and Guwahati (Assam).

In total, over 4,000 people received nutritious meals across these locations.

More Than Just Numbers
The event was not just about reaching a number. It was about building a connection between volunteers, supporters, and communities.

Dr. Geetanjali Chopra, the NGO’s Founder and President, said:

“Serving one crore meals over 9.5 years reflects our deep belief in dignity, care, and nourishment for all. Everyone deserves access to food.”

Leading Up to World Hunger Day
This success comes just ahead of World Hunger Day on May 29, which highlights the global hunger crisis.

Wishes & Blessings hopes to raise more awareness and action toward ending food insecurity in India.

A Strong Legacy of Care
Since its founding in 2014, the NGO has launched daily meal programs, ration kit drives, and emergency food support.During the COVID-19 pandemic, it served thousands of meals and ration kits to those left jobless and displaced.

This compassionate work earned recognition as one of the most effective community-led responses in the region.
