Speaking at the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit, Gautam Adani highlighted Assam’s vast potential and lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for driving the state’s transformation. He emphasized how the Prime Minister’s vision has strengthened Northeast India’s role in the country’s economic growth, boosting connectivity and positioning Assam as a key trade hub with Southeast Asia.
Reflecting on India’s investment-led progress, Adani recalled the impact of Vibrant Gujarat 2003, which ignited a wave of economic transformation across states. He also praised CM Sarma’s efforts in addressing social challenges like drug abuse and child marriage, alongside Assam’s strides in infrastructure, semiconductor manufacturing, and strategic projects along the Brahmaputra.
In a major announcement, Adani Group committed ₹50,000 crore in investments across airports, aero cities, gas distribution, transmission, cement, and road projects in Assam. He reaffirmed the group’s long-term partnership with the state, pledging to support its journey towards a prosperous future.
